Post Con Sumup

I’d like to say thank you so much to everyone who came by the table at Megacon Manchester the other weekend, and an even bigger thank you to those of you who dropped by just to let me know how much your critters were helping you! I’m blown away by all the love and support you guys have shown me. And just to think the critters started all because I decided I would make a weighted plushie for myself instead of buying one XD I want to give an extra special thanks to Ness from Sunshine Bamboo, who was my table buddy, who was also blown away by the love you also shared with them. I also want to give extra special thanks to my mum, who was the resident table fairy for the weekend and helped so, so much with managing everything!

To follow that up, thank you all for the suggestions of what the next critter should be. The final votes are now in, and Moths have won! I have a few ideas in mind already for this, as last year, before tabling at my first Megacon Manchester, I had been debating whether I should make a third critter. Ultimately, I decided on doing a moth; however, that thought was overwhelmed by the cosy critters after all the questions about whether the critters could be microwaved and, if not, making a microwaveable option, which has brought about the cosy critters. So I love to see that we clearly have a kinship with moths, lol However, before I start the moths, I will be working on another size for the rays after many requests for them to be a heavier weight.

Something to note is that once I have finished the moths and they are available (which would debut at Megacon Manchester 2026, if I’m able to get a table again) they will start out at only the basic three sizes of small, medium and large, but will also be available in the cosy critter style, They will also feature in the lucky dip which is exclusive to the conventions. I do have a few other little ideas I want to try as well, but we shall see how that goes.

The store is back up tomorrow (August 6th), and the critters are all updated. Cosy critters are website exclusive, like half of the accent fabric options.

Please be patient with me as I work my way through the preorders from the convention. Normally, I can make and ship a critter in a few days; however, this is currently slower while I
a) work through the preorders (I will do a quick post update once I’m back up to my usual speed) and
b) Squish is out of nursery until September, leaving me with less time to work on things.
I appreciate your understanding of this.

Once again, thank you all so much, and I’ll see you all in the next update!

  1. Hi
I visited you at the Manchester convention in July and thought your weighted bats were amazing. That amazing i ordered one that day.

I was just wondering what the turn over is for these as I’m eagerly awaiting its arrival 🙂

    Kind regards

    1. Hello and thank you so much! I did a little mini update on Sunday on my instagram stories, just letting everyong know the last of my supplies finally arrived on the Saturday. I am working as quickly as I can through the preorders. Two were finished and posted yesterday and all of the other remaining critters have everything cut out, it’s just a case of sewing and weighting them all.
Honestly thank you so much for your patience. My turn over is usually pretty quick but I had to order literally everything after the first day of the con XD I’m hoping to het as many as I can done over the next two days (my partner will be home from work so can watch our little one) and get the posted out asap. Everything is always sent first classed tracked and signed and I shall email you on the email you provided with your tracking number one your little adoptee is in the post.
If you placed your order via the website during the con instead of in person, I’m afraid those orders are at the back of the line as the store was on holiday mode, like etsy, until the 6th of August but again I’m working through everything as quickly as I can.
I hope this helps and thank you for your patience!
      Dusk
